Privacy Policy
Effective date: 8 October 2026
This policy explains what personal information The Jewel Vault Co receives when you use this website or contact us, why, and the choices you have. Our Terms of Service explain how the website and buying from us work.
Who we are
This website is run by The Jewel Vault Co. We are responsible for the personal information and the terms described here. You can contact us through our enquiry form.
What this website collects
Only what you choose to send us through the enquiry form. There are no accounts, no online payments, no cookies, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking of any kind on this website.
Like every website, ours is delivered by a hosting provider, Cloudflare, Inc. (Cloudflare Pages). To deliver pages and protect the site from abuse, the hosting provider's systems process technical information about each request, such as your IP address, browser type and the page requested. We do not use that information to identify you, build profiles or market to you.
Your wishlist and cart
If you save pieces to your wishlist or add them to your cart, the list is stored only in your own browser on your own device (browser local storage). It contains the reference numbers and quantities of the pieces and nothing about you. It is sent to us only if you send an order request. Clearing your browser data, or removing the pieces, deletes it.
When you send an enquiry
The enquiry form and the order request on the cart page ask for your name, email address, an optional phone number and your message, plus the pieces you are asking about or requesting. When you press send, these are emailed to us through our email provider. The company that builds and looks after our website may receive enquiries first; it passes them straight on to us and does not use them for anything else.
To stop spam, the form also counts how many enquiries come from each connection over ten minutes. It stores a scrambled (hashed) version of your IP address for that, never the address itself, and deletes it automatically after ten minutes.
We use it to answer your enquiry and, if you decide to buy, to agree and complete the sale and keep the records the law requires. We do not use it for marketing, and we do not add you to a mailing list.
Who we share it with
We do not sell or rent personal information. We share it only with the providers who handle it on our behalf (our email and hosting providers, and our website provider as described above), with a courier when you have bought a piece and asked us to deliver it, or when the law requires us to.
Some of these providers operate internationally, so your information may be processed outside the country where you live. Where that happens, we rely on the safeguards those providers offer.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries only for as long as we need them to answer you. If you buy from us, we keep the sale records for as long as tax and accounting law requires. You can ask us to delete your emails at any time, unless we are required to keep them.
Your rights
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask for a copy, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Contact us through our enquiry form and we will reply within the time the law allows. You also have the right to complain to the data protection authority where you live.
Changes to this policy
If what this website does changes, for example if we add online ordering or analytics, we will update this policy before the change and show the new effective date at the top of this page.
